Leuphana University

With sharp edges, the various buildings of the Leuphana University in Lüneburg rise from the ground. It seems as if they bend forward and pull back, by which they symbolise energy, movement and adaptability. The dynamic architecture also stands for the spirit of the university: the interdisciplinary exchange of thoughts and a vibrant academic life. The structure is the new central building that is used as a meeting place for students and professors as well as visitors. The striking architecture intentionally sets a contrast to the surrounding buildings: symmetrically arranged brick structures that were erected as barracks in the 1930s. A facade area of 9,000 m² was covered with RHEINZINK titanium zinc in the bright rolled RHEINZINK-CLASSIC in a flat lock tile system.
