Certifications and verified information
Independent assessments, certifications and declarations are available for various products and business divisions. These provide verifiable information on defined criteria and assessment standards.
- EcoVadis: EcoVadis assesses companies against established criteria in the areas of the environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. In August 2025, RHEINZINK received a bronze rating, placing it amongst the top 35 per cent of companies assessed by EcoVadis.
- EPD: Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) are drawn up in accordance with the ISO 14025 and EN 15804 standards. They provide standardised and verified information on a product’s environmental characteristics throughout its life cycle.
IGEF: The IGEF audit confirms compliance with the relevant underlying audit and assessment requirements. Further information on the scope and criteria of the audit can be found in the respective audit documents.

The life cycle of titanium zinc
from raw material extraction to recycling
The life cycle of titanium-zinc encompasses all key stages – from raw material extraction to reuse. Right from the manufacturing stage, attention is paid to durability and high material quality. Once processed, titanium-zinc is used in long-lasting applications, where its resilience proves its worth.
At the end of its service life, the material is returned to the cycle: during recycling, the original quality is fully preserved, meaning that equivalent products can be manufactured from the recovered material – without any loss of quality and without downcycling. In this way, the material cycle is closed and waste is avoided, which in turn conserves resources and reduces the burden on the environment.
All over again.
Should RHEINZINK titanium-zinc components ever become redundant, they can be reused with minimal effort to manufacture similar or identical products. For example, façade cladding that is decades old can be turned into new façade cladding –
with the same quality characteristics as when it was first installed. The material cycle is complete. And begins anew.

100% – more is not possible. Except for three times 100%.
RHEINZINK can be easily sorted by type during refurbishment work or at the end of a building’s useful life. It is then 100% recyclable without any additional intermediate steps. Even the off-cuts produced during manufacture are 100 per cent remelted and go on to be used in new products. And what happens to the quality and product properties during the recycling process? They are fully retained throughout the product’s life cycle. 100% naturally.
RHEINZINK can be recycled.
The energy required to process the material amounts to around 5% of the energy needed to produce the virgin material.
