This chapel is nestled in the vineyards on the slope of Selzer Berg in the direction of Zornheim. "Lichtefeld" is the name of Lisa Denecke's design, which was selected by a committee for the chapel donated by Mr. and Mrs. Eckes. The Wiesbaden-based architectural firm KISSLER EFFGEN + Partner implemented the construction plan. In collaboration with six craftsmen, the chapel was realized as a wood and glass construction in an eight-month construction period. In keeping with the natural materials used, RHEINZINK standing seam panels in prePATINA ECO ZINC graphite-grey clad the roof of the chapel. Particularly in winter, when the vineyards and the surrounding villages are covered in snow, the view is magnificent and contemplative.
