The Generali Vienna Group has built up a high-quality real estate portfolio that has proven to be a secure and stable investment over the decades. In the development of the Am Hof 11 property - a landmark standalone building from the Wilhelminian era dating to around 1882/83 - it was a particular priority for both the client and the architect, in consultation with city officials, to restore the historicist proportions lost during the turmoil of war through a high-quality and contemporary interpretation. “Based on many years of positive experience, particularly regarding value retention, durability, and overall energy balance through to recyclability, RHEINZINK’s materials and installation guidelines were, as usual, gladly put to use,” the client summarizes. The elaborate roof renovation was carried out by the Viennese RHEINZINK master tinsmith Josef Sandriesser over a construction period of about nine months with great attention to detail. Approximately 4.2 tons of the high-quality, environmentally friendly material RHEINZINK-prePATINA blue-gray were used in the project. Since the completion of the roof design, the newly renovated “Zur goldenen Kugel” building has become an even greater eye-catcher on this historically significant square.
