The Polish Hanseatic city of Szczecin is located close to the German border, about 150 km north-east of Berlin. With just under 780,000 inhabitants, it is the seventh largest city in Poland and is not only attractive as a university city for young people, but also a suitable place for families to live thanks to its historical architecture, the varied old and new town and its proximity to the Baltic Sea coast.

Thus, a special single-family house with a modern character and unique charm was created in the western Polish city. Architects and clients chose RHEINZINK titanium zinc in the surface quality prePATINA blue-grey for the roof and parts of the facade of the residential building. The material was particularly convincing thanks to its sustainable properties. In addition, it gives a constantly smooth look due to the pre-weathered surface that appears in the colour of the protective patina which develops over time. The zinc panels were installed using the angled standing seam technique. This gives even large areas a lively, filigree structure. In combination with the white plaster, the wood and glass elements, the single-family house shines in a harmonious look and becomes a real eye-catcher in the Polish residential area.
