Did you know? The greatest potential for reducing emissions lies in an area over which we ourselves have very limited influence.
Approximately 70% of total emissions are generated by the upstream process – the production of refined zinc. This is precisely why, years ago, we decided to use Low Carbon Zinc from our long-standing partner in Scandinavia. Renewable energy sources, such as hydropower, are used in the extraction of raw materials. This is verifiable and certified. Our prePATINA product range therefore bears the ECO ZINC designation.

Optical stability from day one – the standout feature
A key advantage of prePATINA ECO ZINC is its factory-applied patina appearance from the outset. The prePATINA ECO ZINC product line addresses the issue of partially inconsistent patination: through an in-house developed process, the zinc is given a visual patina at the factory, while still allowing the natural patina to continue forming after installation.
This is not a coating, but rather a specialised pickling process that adjusts the appearance of the zinc surface to match the patina it will develop over time. The main benefit lies in the enhanced visual appeal, which would otherwise take years to achieve and still would not guarantee a uniform patina.
